is he teething already or is this a growth spurt?

DS will be 3 weeks old tomorrow & lately he has been very fussy. The only thing that helps is him chewing on his paci. He gets overheated but doesn't fully run a fever & you can feel small points on his gums. Is this a growth spurt or could he possibly be teething this early? It sounds ridiculous buthes not sleeping more than usual but he's been eating a good bit since yesterday morning. Half of him nursing is him just gumming my boob though. Any advice?

I doubt it's teething - You may want to give his pediatrician a call though.

EDIT: Early teething does happen - My son started at 3 1/2 months and has one that has almost broke the gum. Just give his DR a call just in case.

Teething tabs, warm or cold wash cloths, baby teethers, amber necklaces, and lots of love. My sons DR told me not to use oragel because it makes the gums tough which makes teething worse.
