They told me if the doc or nurse does not know what they are doing it will hurt.

My best advice is to get up and moving as soon as you can, but move slow! They aren't as bad as people sometimes make them out to be. I was up cleaning my house three days after mine!

Definitely dont be constipated for a week before and ER csec! that smurf was the worst! but serious dont hunch over - even if you really want to dont do it! takeit easy but make sure you walk around plenty! it helps the healing and I know my first was worse then my 2nd but I was also way sicker and no one told me not to hunch and the hospital forgot to take out the staples before I left and I was unaware they were supposed to! so 2 weeks later (first surgery ever) and some ingrown staples being yanked out I was half way alright but it took a good 4-5 weeks to feel ok - with the 2nd one not even 2 weeks later and I was up and moving in no pain at all except the spinal hurt because of the scoliosis

Make sure your REQUEST them to wait until your spinal is in! I had it put it before with my 2nd, and AFTER with my 1st and 3rd only because I knew how painful it was after my 2nd, I told them I wasn't going through with surgery unless it was in after I was numb.
