I'm 21 too.
My family is smurfing crazy. But in a different way.
meh. I know when to tell them to smurf off and leave me alone, or to figure out when everything is alright again.

Smurf's weird. Life is weird.

My family is like that too. My fiance is the only one there for me. I can't trust my family with anything. They talk smurf or I will trust them with something and they'll just use it to stab me in the back. It has gotten better since I'm not around them anymore but I'm still weary it'll keep happening.

I'm 28 and my family and friends are the same way. For me no it never gets better with age but you learn to deal with it better. I ignore my family and friends that are like that and it seems to work better that way. What i mean by ignore is i don't talk to them anymore or go to family gatherings or go hang out with friends when i know those particular people are going to be there. It's all up to you if you want to try that route though. It's tough but in my opinion it works. At least for me.

Excuse my language, but she can't seem to let him the smurf go.
He's in afg, and she's feeling all sorry for him. It's so annoying. I have tried to get her to stop talking to him, and she won't.
I read their messages on fb, and he's telling her all this smurf that he's just making up. I don't understand it. It's like he is trying to get her to hate me...

My mom too is batsmurf crazy. I don't tell her anything about my life because she will find a way to take something positive in my life, and flip it into something negative. Once she does that, she runs to the rest of the family and tells them of her "knowledge"

Thankfully, my family members who matter most to me, aren't dumb enough to believe her.
