I am glad to say that my childhood friend's brother who was shot from 5 feet away with a single barrel shotgun, is up and walking.
For those of you who don't know what happened let me feel you in.
After being shot, the responding officer made it to his home first. Miles was dead. The officer, being a medical veteran and with his quick thinking, applied pressure to the gaping hole in his abdomen with a pillow, and began to work to get blood flowing back through his body. (By gaping, his insides were coming out, and his girlfriend was doing what she could to keep them from coming out until help arrived) Because of that officer and Miles's girlfriend, this is Miles now.
As far as I know, at this time, the doctors are still unsure of what his future outcome will be. They were expecting his body to reject the cadaver skin graphs, so far to my knowledge, it has not done that.
If anyone is interested in donating to help with the medical costs, or would just like to send him and his family positive thoughts, please let me know, and I will link you.
