Why is it bothering me so much

DH has been bestfriends with the same guy since 1994, I've also been friends with this guy since 97. Well lastnight around 11 I was on facebook and his status update said something like "why cant you see I'm still a person and I still hurt" I told DH what it said so DH sent him a text asking if he wanted to go grab a beer. Friend said no and he didnt want to talk. DH didnt take that for a answer and he drove to his house about 20 minutes away. DH said he was only there for 2 minutes until friend broke down and told him he and his wife are getting a divorce. They have 2 children, have been together for 11 years and married for the past 3 1/2 years. He said it's been bad for a long time and there is no fixing it. I breaks my heart knowing how much pain he is in. He loves his wife he really does but they just cant fix it   Last night I think DH and I were in shock over it. But today I am just so sad over it.I've actually cried over it a few times. I dont know if it scared me knowing if it can heppen to them it can happen to us or what. I know this is a pointless post but it has really been bothering me today

It would bother me, too, to be honest, I would probably cry as well. It hurts to see people you care about going through stuff like that! And yes, it would make things feel very real for me, too - like a huge wake up call.

It's hurts to see people you care about going through rough times! I'd be upset too, especially if you were close with the couple.
