Do you have an order of protection?
He will get a lawyer and go to court. They will offer him pleas and if he doesn't take them then it goes to trial.
Someone should contact you from victims advocacy.

yea, he is going to jail. could even be for attempted murder, too since he knew you were pregnant.

There should be an No contact order in place for 3 days, meaning you and him can have no contact. Also victims advocacy should contact ou soon.

Where I live the no contact is at least a month and then you have to go in front of a judge to get it lifted.

It's his fault, don't be sad. I'm assuming it was not his first time drinking, therefore he should have known how he acts while drinking.
I'm sorry this has happened to you, but please keep your distance from him til he at least seeks help and conquers his demons...For your sake, and your child's.
