Evening primoil

Anyone have any experience with this?

I took it orally starting at 35 weeks, vaginally starting at 38 weeks. When I went into labor I was fully effaced, so I'd say it did its job.

Evening primrose oil should be discussed with your provider. My midwife suggested not to start until 37 weeks.

I just wondered what it is supposed to do and all that.

Did she say why?
I'm just curious because it can take weeks to start working, and it's not like it helps to induce labor (or that there's even a risk to it inducing labor).

Orally is fine sooner, but internally she suggested to wait till 37 weeks. I was already dilated to a two at 36 weeks with regular contractions. She didn't want to help things along too much before 37a, but here I am 39 weeks 100% effaced and no baby yet.

Oh gotcha. I thought she meant not even orally until 37 weeks.
Everything I had read and my midwife all said the same thing- not to insert vaginally until at least 37 weeks.

I want my baby to come out...at least before xmas

I hope it happens soon for you! I was so sure I was going to go WAY overdue with my son. I had absolutely no signs of upcoming labor. After no signs at all, I went into labor on my due date.

used it my last pregnancy and it didn't work at all, had to be induced

It's not intended to induce labor, so you don't really know if it worked or not.
