Is she way behind?

My DD is 3 almost 4, I feel liek she might be behind because people alwasy say their 3 year olds can already write and know ABC's and numbers ect...
DD struggles with ABC's alot, can only count to 5 with out any help, can write anything. We are working on shapes but she doesnt seem to get them very well.
I keep worrying she is going to be really behind when she starts pre-k in the fall.

I think she'll be fine, Just keep working with her, A lot of kids don't catch on as easily as others.

All kids develop differently, and at different rates, but if you're concerned, it won't hurt to bring it up with her pedi

I know they develop at different paces, but when does it become a concern, I mean do all kids know ABC's before pre-K?

I doubt they all fully know their ABC's. Just keep working with her and i'm sure she will get the hang of it especially once she starts pre-k.

Not all know their ABCs by pre-school. Also knowing the song is very different from actually knowing the letters, like sounding them out.
