Teaching LO to eat with utensils.

posted 9th Dec
How did you teach your LO to eat with a spoon/fork?
I'm trying and failing miserably.
He'll be 11 months on the 29th

I started DD on utensils at 9 almost 10 months and by 11 in a half months she was using them, All I did was show her and if she did it wrong I corrected her, If she needed help getting it on the fork I would take her hand and press the food on the fork after awhile of doing so she caught on well, It takes time.

I didn't teach them, it just happened.
My son didn't start really using forks or spoons until just after 2 years. My daughter started right after she turned one.
I always offered forks or spoons and let them take it the rest of the way.

I do this, but when I give him his spoon, he sticks the wrong end in his mouth with no food on it, lol.
I try to help him, by putting it the right way and try to show him to dip it, and he gets super pissy
