Oh, I totally agree - the whole situation is stupid. Daddy needs to help his daughter get on her feet she she's actually stable instead of keep giving handouts and little trophy wife needs to get over herself.

I think the thing I find most irritating is that she's bitching about the daughter and not even considering there's two children, almost 3 involved in it also. Yeah, a 25 year old should have her smurf together a little more(which is a when lot easier when you marry someone who's already established OP) but things happen. You want to punish the adult but that also punishes two kids that had no choice in the decision making process. And she's not even bitching about something substantial. I could get it more if some of their bills were going unpaid over this but Christmas decorations and a present for herself? Really?
It's like she married him thinking it's just going to be their sweet little family and that his other kids don't count anymore because their adults. She doesn't understand that no matter how old they get you still look at them and see a newborn in your arms or teaching her to ride a bike when she was 6 and kissing boo boo's when she fell down. They get older but they never stop being your baby.

I'm nearly 30 years old and my grandparents who raised me still get dreamy eyed when they look at me sometimes remembering some happy memory from my childhood. They've bailed my mother out of countless bad situations her whole life and I used to get SO pissed when I was a teenager. I'd always ask my grandma when she was just going to give up and she'd just get sad and tell me she couldn't. I never understood it until I had my oldest. She could end up being the biggest strung out druggie loser in the world and I'd still help her, I'd be less gracious than my grandparent were, LOL, but I wouldn't stop trying to help especially if my grandkids were involved.

I know the discussion is over but I don't get on as much so I'm behind. I still like to throw in my ranty 2 cents in though, LOL

Oh, I totally agree. If it was just the daughter and no kids involved, I could see her being a tad pissy, but....those are children, how the hell are you going to sit there and complain about decorations when there are children in your family who would have to go without a roof over their head. Yeah - the mom is an idiot, no one is saying she isn't but her kids shouldn't suffer when they don't have to so you can have some lights and a present.

Exactly and besides if decorations are really that important to you get creative and make some! I did, none of our christmas ornaments or decorations manged to make it here from Japan. I couldn't afford to replace them so my kids and I made some. Tiny $20 tree, $6.99 string of lights I only put on the front, 98 cent box of candy canes and some pinecones we spray painted red and green with and hot glued some ribbon too. BAM Christmas tree under $30. We made a big bow for the top with leftover ribbon instead of a star. I still have popsicle sticks, glue and fake snow we are going to make snowflakes with to decorate outside. Just budget and forget a gift, why is Christmas all about a gift and fancy decorations anyways? Tax time is coming and he has a billion kids anyways, surely he can still claim one and buy you a gift then, LMAO

Aww, thats sweet! We do Christmas crafts every year, it's just fun. I was lucky and SO bought me a Christmas tree for my birthday last year (my bday is Christmas Eve) and I was ecstatic even though its only 2 ft tall, tops.

Dude, we are totally doing "christmas" for each other at tax time, better time to buy the things we want anyway, lol. He needs a new laptop for school and I want a new digital camera for when the baby arrives (mines almost 7 years old, it's about that time...) We just don't bother doing Christmas for each other anyway, but if we decide to do stuff, it's at tax time.

I already got my Christmas gift, my old laptop was on its last legs so in Oct I asked for a new one. I got him a NFL hoodie but all our extra money went to the kids. I've been buying since Sept to spread it out, LOL

I should have started way earlier. My salary got withheld for a month and I'm behind now. We don't do a ton of gifts on Christmas anyway, so it's not TOO bad - we always do things like a gingerbread house, a movie, games and a special dinner.
