I used to let her roam, until she learned how to unlock the front door  
Now I put her chair in the restroom and she sits there until I'm done. Of course, if I take more than 5 mins, she gets bored and destroys the restroom. So when i want to shave or actually enjoy the shower I wait until someones home.

A lot of kids go through a phase where they hate baths after liking it before. Our oldest finally got over it, and likes them again after a month.

DD loves the shower. When DH bathes her, she'll get a bath because he let's her play and play and play. I like to get the job done and be done with it. Especially since I'm pregnant and my back kills me if I give her a bath. So we now do showers. She enjoys it more, from what I can tell. We have seats built into our shower so she puts her toys on there and plays with them. She has a lot more room to play too. She also thinks it's funny when the water hits her from the shower head
Definitely try it with your LO!
