My 15 month old has been having seizures. Well after finally getting into neurology, th dr tells me she thinks my dd has adhd and is causing her seizures. Issue 1- Jaz is extremely well behaved with no signs of adhd (neurologist says what pedi is telling me are migraines, are behavioral fits). Issue 2- This is the first time they have seen her, and only have the 1 hour eeg under their belt. (24hr eeg tomorrow and ct friday) Issue 3- how does a 15 month old cause themselves to have a seizure for attention? Thinking about going for a 2nd opinion. What do you think?

for something like that i would get a second (and 3rd if the 2nd opinion differs from the first) regardless if i thought the answer was kooky or not.

I would get a 2nd opinion, 15 months is VERY early to be getting adhd diagnoses.

def get a second opinion I had seizures as a child and both my father and brothers have ADD/ADHD when the doc told my parents something similar to you they got a second and third opinion after a bunch of eeg's,mri's etc. was deemed nothing to do with ADD/ADHD a second opinion is always a great thing if you don't feel comfortable with the Doc's diagnosis GL

Quoting La~La:" Adhd does not cause seizures..... that doctor is smurftarded"
She said she holds her breath during a "fit" and lack of oxygen causes them. But the same episodes, her pedi said are migraines.

Quoting Momma x 2:" I would get a 2nd opinion, 15 months is VERY early to be getting adhd diagnoses."
That is what i thought too. Plus shes like "well, someone in both families have adhd right" NO no one on either side has it. Then she tells me i must not know my family lol. I was like wtf

I would definitely be getting a couple other opinions.

I knew Seizures can cause ADHD, but not that ADHD could cause seizures. But I can see how when I actually stop & Think about it. Still Personally I would need a second Opinion.
I Also know that Just because they don't see Seizure activity or the Remnants of it on an EEG doesn't mean they're not happening, it Literally just means they didn't happen during or close enough to leave the visible footprints on that Beach Now if he DID see something on the EEG that would be Different.
Migraines & Seizures are pretty closely linked. Some Migraines are actually Seizures, some Seizures are actually Migraines, & Sometimes a Seizure causes a Migraine or a Migraine causes a seizure.
