Hey ladies. I've been super busy since the birth of my son on Wednesday morning but I decided to use this down time to five the update. On the morning of December 4th, I started leaking tons of blood tinged mucus and my contractions were getting really strong and were about a minute apart. 9 am, SO took me to l&d where they told me I was 3cm dilated and 80% effaced. They were attempting to send me home but ultimately decided not to because my contractions were ridiculously strong and consistent. At 1pm another cervical check was done and by then I had dilated to 5cm and 90% effacement. At 4pm my ob decided to break my water and started a line of pitocin which I was against but my pain was so severe that I could care less what I was given. At around 8pm I was screaming bloody murder for a damn epidural which failed and was given a second two hours later which to my dismay failed again. The IV drugs I was given to ease pain did nothing but piss my body off more so I ended up going through my entire labor in severe pain. Any who, by 8am the next morning, my pain reached its peak and I felt tons on pressure. I started pushing 9:15 once the pressure was overwhelming and at 10:17 am on December 5, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy! Pics below.
