2013 Jeep Compass Owners

posted 8th Dec
Do you like your compass? Can you tell me pros/cons? Price you paid and what package?

I am looking for a crossover SUV and can't decide which I want. I have test driven the Compass but it was a manual and in order to order a car I had to pay for it. I am not comfortable with paying for a car before I see it. Plus DH is deployed and I don't want to buy a family car without him. HELP.

I wouldn't go with a Compass. Or a new Ford Escape (been recalled 4 times already) ... My brother has a 2012 Grand Cherokee, 6,000 miles and the check engine light keeps going on and off.

Jeeps are notorious for having bad shifters. Its a pretty expensive part to fix too.

many cars have recalls, they get fixed. I don't like fords at all.

I'm torn between a S60 and a Compass. Those are the only 2 I like.

extended warranty to cover mechanical. I can't decide what I want. I'm overwhelmed right now. I'm going to drive the BMW until he gets back and he drives the cars. I want something K and the dog can terrorize.

Compare their specs and their warranties. and yeah, they get fixed but it's annoying to have to take it in over and over again, especially for the same problem. I'd go Volvo over Jeep, though..

Thats true, I didnt think of that. I'd go with the compass I think then.

We had a wrangler before we traded it for a bmw 335i. I miss the wrangler for the dog and kid aspect. If I get a volvo, then we have 2 luxury cars and the dog can't go in it and take the bikes, etc. That's my biggest concern. I know I want the volvo over the jeep. But in the long run....yeah that's where I get stuck lol

I don't have the compass but I have had
jeep grand cherokee
Jeep Liberty
Old jeep wrangler

I LOVE them all the jeep grand cherokee was my very favorite I will probably never buy another brand, though I do also love the toyota fj cruiser it is a good size and handles well.

I do have to use 4 wheel driver VERY often. Some years I use it almost every day in the winter. I think Jeep has the best 4x4 of all the brands I have used(I have had a lot of vehicles)

I don't know how I would feel about paying for jeep grand Cherokee if I was only going to be driving at sea levle in the suburbs. I would probably buy something that was not 4x4 if I did not need it

Any way I love jeeps and have had a lot of good experience with them, I don't like the liberty that much for a family

Liberty is a no. I hate the body style! Grand cherokee is out of my price range, if I went 36K for a suv I'd get a X1. I want something around 20,000. That's the max I will go for the family car.

We have a nice ford truck and it just cost 1,800 for some high pressure oil pump...My jeep also had some repairs but the warranty covered them!

I agree that the libertys are weird looking! The jeep grand cherokee is worth the money if you are going to use the 4x4 often.

I think the compass is cool looking though! I have not had one but maybe you should go do some test drives and see how you feel after that!
