We have a bmw...can't budget another 50K car with moving, not selling the house etc.

Understandable. What about a Mazda? They are sporty, super cheap, you can get a good model, brand new for about $22K, and won't have to worry when it gets muddy.

Why not buy a 2012 with low miles? then you can save a lot

I guess apart of me is leaning toward the Jeep since we had the wrangler before.

I love the Volvo S60 and can get a good deal on a dealer demo one with having to put a little out of my pocket. Not a big deal, but is having 2 luxury expensive cars practical to maintain? Volvo is 5 year 50,000 and this one is a 2012 with 7K miles. I don't drive much. My jetta is 5 years with 49K miles.

I broke down crying today at the dealership because I got overwhelmed. I can use the one car and be good until he gets back in march to buy one. I just need reviews and need to research a lot better.

I can get a Compass 2012 brand new 175 miles for like 19985 with a warranty...but that is a base. I built one online with a sunroof and stuff for 21000. I don't think the sales guy was giving me the best price honestly.

after doing some research online I'd say so. I found one with nav, sunroof for 19895. It's blue and not white like I want...but yeah, I feel taken advantage of.

I use to work in sales... no he was not giving you the best price. He can knock off about 2000 and he still gets a few 1000 for him self.

Have you ever got cars from car max?

I enjoy having new cars... I think its fun to try new things. I have had a lot of them. When CarMaxx opened I started buying exclusively with them!

I have got a Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Grand Cherokee and I think one other I have also sold a few cars there. No I did not get a price as good as I could have got on craigs list hunting all over town. But the extra money is worth not having to "haggle" for me... and they are pretty fair prices for dealers

But there are no "deals" everything is the price it says on the window. It is SO stress FREE.

Most carmaxx locations don't have new cars... but they do have cars with very few miles on them. My last had only 55,000 miles.

I have loved my experience there so much that I want to work for them some day. Sometimes I just go look and see if they have something I want and I always think about applying for a job!


You can actuly buy your car on line!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to go in and do the paper work. They will even move a car from one car max to another for you. I seriously recommend this place to all my friends. At least check out the web page

I prefer new. I'm going to pick a few, state a color and interior color and let him have at.
I picked the bmw out and he did the haggling of the 2 day process. He's a hardhead, but it's good. I'm not. I would have signed for the car today, but we don't make choices without each other thank god.

They have started selling new cars now! and the state OP lives in has a place with new ones! I LOVE that place.

They just take your old car and give you a new one. Its amazing! I hate the old experience of the guy saying let me ask my boss if we can get you a better price... ok how about this price... what if a add this.14 hrs later your not even excited and just want to walk out Normal deals suck bad

LOL at the car salesperson jabs. I sell Toyotas for a living!
