Abortion.... yay or nay???!!

I, personally have never had an abortion, I always thought that if my fiance and I did become pregnant that an abortion would be the only obvious and practical choice, as to not ruin our lives... However, on September 9th, 2012, I found out that I was 11 weeks pregnant... being a 19 year old college student who was a binge drinker, chain smoker, and lived 3,500 miles away from home. I was devastated, however, fell in love with the fact that I had created life. I could never even fathom terminating my pregnancy and being pregnant is the best, most wonderful feeling in the world, and I get to share it with the love of my life. I am now 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my first son, Maddox. He is the best thing that has happened to me and I thank God for blessing me with him! He has changed my whole perspective on life just by his mere existence. Btw, the day I found out I smoked my last cigarette and quit cold turkey. It was easy to do, because I wasn't doing it for me, I was doing it for my son.

My best friend from high school became pregnant around April 2012, I was the first one she told, I was so ecstatic for her and getting to meet her little one.. she decided to have an abortion and told me the day after it was too late. I didn't talk to her for weeks... the baby's father still to this day doesn't know, she tells him it was his fault and that she had a miscarriage... In September she purposely tried getting pregnant with her new boyfriend, and of course, she did... even after that she told me she might have an abortion... Fortunately she did NOT! I seriously do not believe in having babies for "fun" or as a "trend", I hope people understand the severity of what they are doing, especially young mothers... it's not a new style to be pregnant.. it doesn't go away when your tired of it... IT'S A LIFE!

As for others, there might be reasons for them to do so, but I say if you're going to be irresponsible, then you should accept the consequences, however don't take it out on your baby... there are other options; adoption! Please don't harm an innocent soul. All they know how to do is love you, don't punish them for that!

Not your body... you don't want an abortion, don't get one. But don't tell other women what they can or cannot do with their bodies.

Pro choice. I would abort before adopting a child out.

Abortion is not for me other than maybe for medical reasons but I don't think it shouldn't be available for others. Even if we think we do, we do NOT always know a persons entire life. People hide things and it's their business.

I agree it IS a woman's choice, I am a liberal, however I just hate the fact of knowing a baby is being killed for someone's mistake, it shows how the world is so misguided and doesn't make people take ownership of their mistakes or wrongdoings, etc.

I WILL abort if I get pregnant in the next few years. I can not be pregnant and be on the meds I'm on plus I cannot have be in the hospital again with an toddler. Call me selfish all you want but it is not right to bring a child into my life and I would not do adoption. I know what it feels like to not come home with a baby after 9 months. Plus I'm not risking my life for a child I won't keep. Sorry
