Why/why not?

Also, did anyone else DECLINE the initial spina bifida & DS blood test?
(just wondering, i declined, cos finding out with the last pregnancy just caused unnecessary stresses- further screening (declined amnio) that was irrelevant cos it wouldn't change our mind on anything)

*ETA: i guess part of it would have to do if you were pregnant during flu season too.

I got blood work at 7 weeks, minus the spina bifida (i think) and the one that checks for Downs. & then i later rejected the flu shot. Just personal preference.

I didn't do any genetic tests.

I always turn down vaccines. But now that I know I'm having a preemie I'm considering the dtap cause I'm terrified of her getting whooping cough and dying.

I was researching the Dtap and a study done on newborns born to mother's who received it. It was interesting!

Nope, definitely not. I am very anti-flu shot though.

well,plz share. I just had LO and I got the DTAP.

I wish i would've known last time, more about the SB & DS, i wouldn't have done it then either.

I'm anti flu shot and I waited till I gave birth to get the dtap. I'm to paranoid.

I refused to get any vaccines/flu shots while I was pregnant. I also don't vaccinate my kids(my oldest had a bad reaction to them, so I stopped vaccinating). I simply don't trust them. Also, anytime I have gotten the flu shot, I always ended up with the flu within 2 or 3 days after getting the shot.

I refused the DS test. I didn't see a need for it as DS or not, my children would be loved. Had my doctors noted any problems with my babies when I was pregnant, and suspected that something was wrong, than I would have had the testing done, but since everything was fine, I didn't see the point in having it done.

I didn't do any of that, what did you learn about it? I just did the initial prenatal blood testing.

i got the flu shot both times, was due in january with one and in september with the other.

If it wasn't a blood test, I wouldn't get it done.
