I didn't mention.

Elliot is current on his shots, Pip has not had a dr. visit in 2 years. I might waive her kinder shots considering she hasn't had them for a while.

I didn't get any vaccines during my first pregnancy with my oldest. I did however get the flu vaccine with my second because I am in nursing school and was required to or I was not allowed to attended my clinical rotations. No rotations= getting kicked out. He is perfectly healthy little guy and I didn't get sick or have any reaction to the vaccine at all. The 2 of us also didn't get the flu when everyone else in my house had it a couple weeks ago

My son got whopping cough at 8months. He had one vaccine for it at 3months.
I'm still delaying all vaccines if not avoiding them all together. Not sure yet. His immune system sure did fight it off though.

I didnt have the downs test or any other genetic test because my midwife said its not always accurate and can cause unesacary stress in pregnancy.

I had my flu vacine in october 2012 (due 4th feb 2013) because I worked for NHS, I had no side effects what so ever.

I had my hooping cough vacine at 29 weeks because 13 babies had died from it and i wasnt taking that risk, I had no side effects what so ever.

It's failing horribly. Even the CDC has come out to recognize this. Their solution is another booster

He didn't get whooping cough despite having been vaccinated. He was three months behind on his booster. I'm not saying that he wouldn't have necessarily gotten whooping cough, but I do not thing you can say that he got it despite having been vaccinated.

Nope, nothing has been tested on pregnant women, even the vaccine inserts say so.
I also skipped genetic testing. Although, by the time I knew I was pregnant and got into the DR it was too late to do the quad screening, but I still wouldn't have it done.
I DID have the rhogam shot though since I am O- and Spawn was O+

Pretty much ALL kids on the west coast who have gotten Whooping cough had been fully vaxxed for it.
I cant remember the exact number anymore since I had to reboot my computer not too long ago and lost all my links.

I do know the dTAP is a shedding virus, so if you DO get it, you shed the disease for at least 4-6wks, meaning you're contagious. So I wouldnt get the dTAP AFTER you give birth, cuz it'll spread to the newborn

That might be the case, but she can't say that was the cause of her baby getting it, since he wasn't up to date anyway.

Also, I didn't know about TDaP being a shedding virus. They give it to parents before leaving the hospital with their newborns all the time

No vaccines for me... my doctor hasn't even mentioned the flu shot to me which I was kinda surprised by. My old doctor with DD pressured me at every appointment about getting the flu shot. I still refused it.

I did not get the genetic testing with DD or with this current pregnancy. I was having major issues the 1st half of this pregnancy and with the rate of false positives being kinda high I couldn't put myself through more unnecessary worry. I'm a bit of a worry wart... ok maybe a big worry wart lol.

Natural immunity is amazing, and does not wade over years like vaccine immunity does. Your son having had whooping cough now has the natural immunity to fight it off even better than a vaccine ever could now.

DTaP isn't live, so it does not "shed" like say, MMR sheds. But, research proves it enhances the colonization of parapertussis. So, it's actually more than the 28 days, it's actually more of a 2-6 month window as the parapertussis grows in the vaccinated's lungs. Waiting to cough it onto someone unknowingly.

This is such bullsmurf to me. I had no idea vaccines could shed until recently. When I was pregnant with my 5 yr old my daughter had her vaccines, and not one time did the doctor EVER tell me that it wasn't ok, even when he was a newborn, she went in for vaccines at his 2 week check up. He was 2 weeks old and she got flu mist AND a varicella booster.
