Going to assume not because there is only a very small portion of 'name" books that I put any stock in at all.

Your best bet is to find names and compare several places and see if they have common meanings and origins listed. Most of the times, the bad sites have all different meanings and origins listed. Anything using terms like etymology are more likely to be legit.
