Fun activity ideas?

posted 8th Dec
I've decided to start taking LO to do something fun once a month, just an outing and do something we've never done before. My mom really never did things with me, so I definitely want to do it with LO.
November we celebrated his birthday and took him to Build-A-Bear for the first time ever. After we made him a monkey, he saw the Grinch that they had and threw a fit, so that's where we got December's idea. We also took him on his first carousel ride that day.
December, yesterday actually lol, we took LO back to Build-A-Bear and let him build the Grinch he wanted so bad, then took him on another carousel ride.
January me and a bunch of friends plan to meet up at a place called Sci-Works with our kids and go through. (http://www.sciworks.org ) It's basically this really cool interactive science museum.
February we plan to take him to a children's art museum a few cities over.
After that? I'm out of ideas. We really want to take him to the zoo once it warms up in probably April-May, but I'm not sure what we could do til then.
Any ideas?

Yeaaaah, it's hard to think of super cool things to do with him since he's still a wee one.
The Sci-Works is going to be awesome because it is interactive and they can push buttons, watch short videos, touch things and not get in trouble, etc. Same deal with the children's art museum.
They do have this thing about two hours from here where you can drive through the park and see exotic animals and what not, but my mom told me that her friend who went said they smurfed his car up lol. Plus, I'm a little worried that having a zebra trot up to the car and stick it's head in may scare LO smurfless.

I'm the exact same. My parents never did anything with me so I want to do things with LO!

When shes old enough we're going to pick our own strawberries, get our own xmas trees...

Thats all I've got so far.

Does it have to be super special? I mean, you could take him to the movies, to chuck e cheese, on a "hike", things like that.

We were wanting to take him to the movies to see one that's coming out but there's no way we can get him to sit still long enough, he's too busy lol.
We could pull Chuck-E-Cheese, I've never taken him before, I'm just a little worried about him getting trampled by older kids. (I'm a worry wart.)
I could take him up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's about 20 minutes up the road. That'd have to be more of a DH and him activity though, I can't walk long distances or hills cause of back/hip problems.
Yeah, the second two we can definitely do though, we could even have a little picnic at the Parkway. I'm liking where this is going.
