you would walk into the downstairs half-bath across from our kitchen, and inside the bathroom would be the door to the tornado room. the door was a thick metal door with 2 deadbolts. and the room was cement walls, with cement floor, and shelves all the way around. it was big enough to lay down a few sleeping bags. (I thought it was big enough to hold our blow-up mattress, but hubby said it wasn't). and there was an air vent/filter that vented through the livingroom. we never needed it, and used it as a dvd room lol. all our dvd's were on the shelves.
