Quoting NicoThunders:" Yeah they're always "free". But the shipping is ridiculous, lol. It's not very good quality fabric, ... [snip!] ... with. I like wrap converted ones better than like the Maya (that one lasted in my house a whole day before I moved it on hehe)."

Ah, ok - yeah, I probably won't bother, then. What is your take on the Mei Tai? I was going to have my mom sew me one of those.

I have a snuggli - I would rather not carry at all than use that damn thing again.

Don't feel bad about thw snugli, I used to have a crotch dangler too. I opted to use a bed sheet instead if it when I was first wearing Fel, lol.
The only mai tei I've used is an Infantino one and it was horrid.
I like the idea of them, but feel its pointless for me now vecause I love the podaegi so much and they're fairly similar. I wish I would have had one from the start. When I put her on my back and tie tibetan she's basically weightless. Fiona is even comfy in it, and she's 6, lol. Pretty sure I have pics of em on fb, an orange/yellow colorway and then the rasta one.

Awesome, I'll go stalk your pics, lol. I'm looking for something that will reduce the strain - AND handle an infant and a 2 year old.

Pods are really easy to make too, just gotta make sure you use proper fabrics (has to be really strong and sturdy) and reinforce the smurf out of it (it's the same with the mai tai. you can use a pretty fabric for the outside but you have to use something strong inside, duck canvas is usually recommended for inner panel and straps. I hate how stiff it is so O used a wrap for my straps. My first pod had canvas straps and they weren't horrible but the wrap straps definitely comfier).

Thank you so much! I'll have to pass this all on to my mom. She will likely sew my a number of them to try out - I really wanted to do it with my son, but it just never panned out and I got a snuggli.

Later when I'm on the computer I'll send you some links to pass on to her. Good tutorials and stuff.

We never got a carrier (wish we did) we used nuk bottles (idk for breast feeding tho it didn't work to well we only got to 3 months) diaper bag we just got a random one nothing special or name brand and for the first 2 months we co-slept he did not like his bassinet. He went from our bed to his crib.
