Not having a good day...

apparently there is a leak in my trunk. i kept my pack n play in there. and when i took my pack n play out, its COVERED in mildew... im so upset, because that means i have to buy a new one.  

I wish I could give you mine!

We don't really need it. It's been under my bed all folded up since Basil's been 3 months old.

Can you look up cleaning methods for mildew? Maybe it is salvagable!

would it be safe to use it afterwards? because we use ours from birth to 6 months as a bassinet then when we go places (ALL THE TIME) and i want to make sure she'd be safe sleeping in it

From what I'm reading, you can scrub it with a 50/50 vinegar and water solution, then let it be out in the sun. Perhaps then buy a cover for the bottom mat and you're good to go!

we dont currently have much sun   lol

but i soaked it yesterday in vinegar and hot water. i think im just gonna go spray it with vinegar now, and scrub, then let it dry in front of the heater. then by a sheet, they have it for $8, and i can also get one that has more padding.. the pad at the bottom is pretty hard. lol

The sun is more for the antimicrobial qualities, not so much to dry it. It'll help kill of any ickies that are lurking inside.
