transitioning from swing to crib?

DD has reflux which is getting better but because of it shes been sleeping in her swing since 2 months. shes now 4 1/2 months and still sleeping in her swing. because her swing is so large and doesnt fit in our room, its in our living room and i sleep on the couch. it just doesnt feel right leaving her in the middle of our living room even tho its right outside our door. so i have literally been sleeping on the couch for over two months... im thinking its time to move her into her crib but something doesnt feel right. since birth she has always slept next to me, either in her bassinet next to our bed or in the swing next to the couch. i dont like knowing shes so far. if your LO slept in a swing or had a similar situation... how was the transition? what helped? at what age did you do it?

my daughter would only nap in her swing. she did this for 14 months. i had to buy a graco swing with a higher weight limit. lol But at night we co slept. Maybe try that? or elevate her crib mattress. it might take a few days because she is used to the movement of the swing.

usually the only way my son falls asleep is in his swing, unless he's beyond tired. For a while I did the same thing as you, slept out on the couch. I started him in his crib when he was around 3 months (he's now almost 6 months.) I let him fall asleep in his swing. About a half hour later I put him in his crib.
