re: How did you decide to have more?

both of my kids were unplanned they are 2 years and 2 days apart.
honestly i am not sure about having more children.
dh wants too.

but if we decide to have more children it will be way in the future.
right now i am focusing in completing my education and getting a stable job.
then maybe i will see.

I didn't decide it just happened, I wanted to wait until ds was 5 but almost 3 won't be too bad hopefully.

have a lot of different age gaps my oldest daughter is almost 14 and then i have a daughter and stepdaughter that are 11(18 days apart) there is 2 yrs 9 months between them they have days that they are best friends and days when they hate each other . the 5 and 1/2 yr gap between the 11 yr olds and my 5 yr old daughter is ok they usually get along well but dont have much in common yet. then there is a 15 month gap between her and my 4 yr old daughter they are inseperable like cry when 1 leaves and the other has to stay then my 18 month old is 3 yrs almost exactly younger than my 4 yr old they baby her alot and she adores all of them i think it mostly depends on personality though because all kids are different im due for our 1 and only son on valentines day and i am excited to see how he fits in im sure they will spoil him rotten   i thought i would have a hard time spreading the love and time around but you do what you can for each child and they all get what they need when they need it sometimes they have to wait a minute or 2 because dirty diapers or bleeding kids trump put barbies cloths back on or put in a different dvd.

!!! I agree with this! We don't have a second yet but I think we will start trying in the summer. My kids would be about 3.5 years if I get pregnant right away.

We knew from the get go that we wanted 2-3 years between them because that's how we're spaced from our siblings. It made sense for us from a practical standpoint; we had everything left over from DS, we were still in practice, it gave us time to wean and potty train DS, and it's less time that I'll have to be a SAHM than if we had waited longer. It's also been great so far. DS is old enough to play by himself and doesn't need constant attention but little enough so that when they're older they'll be playmates. DS loves to help and just adores his little brother and doesn't seem resentful.

We wanted more (going for 2 of each actually) and I wanted them close in age so they'd be in similar stages at the same time and more likely to have common interests. My boys are 15 months apart and just wonderful friends. There have been no jealousy issues at all with the oldest toward the youngest. We are wanting to have all our kids with a similar spacing.

well before we had kids we decided how many we wanted. so i knew after the first we'd have another because we already had it planned =)
