Negative bllod test and still pregnant? (sorry, kind of long

Anybody ever get a blood test done and have it come back negative but still be pregnant? I have taken two at home tests and gone to get my blood drawn, they were all negative. My lower back aches, food looks disgusting, I'm nauseous, I have too pee every 30 minutes, and I'm craving salt and raw meat which has only happened during pregnancy. Another thing is having sex is never a problem until I get pregnangt then it's just down right painful, and we tried last night and I ended up bawling because it hurt so bad. There is also so much pressure in my pelvis it feels like something is trying to bust out and sometimes it's hard to walk. My first pregnancy I had taken 3 at home tests and had 2 urine tests done at the clinic that all came back negative and didn't get a positive until I was 16 weeks. My next 2 I used home tests that were positive by 3-5 weeks. So is there a possibility that I could still be pregnant after a negative blood test, if you don't think so what do you think could be going on? I asked the doctor at my appointment and she just shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know, I was a little upset.

No. Even when I got negatives on all test, the blood test is correct. To my knowledge there is no way the blood test is wrong. If you had a viable pregnancy you would have HCG and they would see that on the blood test.

Did your dr offer a follow up test?? Unfortunately mama my ob said Its like .0001 chance you would be pregnant. And even than it more than likely would end in miscarriage. I too thought I was pregnant, even had very similar signs of pregnancy but Im not.

The mind is a powerful thing. If you think you're pregnant, even though it was proven you're not, your mind can make a ton of "symptoms" appear.

No, no follow up. They did a urine culture and tested for UTI but both were normal. My last "period" was also extremely light spotting that lasted all of two days. I wouldn't be disappointed either way, pregnant or not I have three boys which is plenty lol. I think I'll just wait another week or two, test again and see what happens.

I saw a girl on a TV show that took her blood test too early and she ended up being pregnant when she tried a home test a week later.

blood test can be inaccurate if taken to early in the pregnancy ....mine was negative an my doctor told me to come back in two weeks because he said its probably not detecting the hormone yet..well sure enough came back two weeks later an it was positive

It wouldnt hurt. && felt thee same exact way, we are blessed with 3 children as well!! good luck!!

YES! I took TWO tests and were + went to ER & blood work was - i took 2 more tests said i was + ER called me 2 days later & told me they made a mistake and I was infact 5 weeks 4 days preg... it IS possible

Your not crazy, a blood test can be negitive if you hcg levels ate two low, my honest suggestion with the pain your having is to request an ultrasound be done to rule out a tubal pregnancy, early detection is key as a rupturrd tube can be highly dangerous speaking from personal experiance.

The only way a blood test can be too early is if the egg is still implanting into the uterine wall and your hCG hasn't progressed above 25mIU (the point where doctors say "yep, your're pregnant." Assuming your baseline hCG is at .5 like most non-pregnant women, and you factor in doubling time of 24 hrs since it's so early and the numbers are still low, it would take, at the most, 6 days after implantation (12 days after conception) to register a clinical positive. So yeah, it's possible to still get a negative. Especially if you ovulated late in your cycle.

Also want to add that if you don't turn up pregnant, your symptoms can be attributed to the presence of an ovarian cust or a flat out anovulatory cycle. No period and wacky symptoms does not automatically mean pregnancy.
