Well here's my story. I started feeling back pain's for 3 days prior to my daughter coming. I'd get random pains in my tailbone every couple hours or so (I had all back labor), but I thought it was just where she was sitting. Then on 38 weeks to the day (May 8th) I had an appointment at 10 or so in the am and at that point he finally checked my cervix. I was 2-3 cm's dilated and and 100 percent effaced. Then from 10 that morning until midnight I kept getting pains every hour or so. Then at midnight they went to every 30 minutes by 4 am it was about every 15 minutes and at 9 am the morning of the 9th, I finally went to the hospital. My contractions were about 4 or 5 minutes apart. When they checked me then I went from being 2-3 24 hours prior to being about 5 cm's. I had her at 4:07 that afternoon
So I went from being told I hadn't dropped 2 days prior to having a baby in my arms haha. I totally know how you feel about not being able to get off the bed... I'd get stuck on my couch all the time and if I laid on my back, I'd never be able to get up lol. From what I hear, every pregnancy is different. My mum had my oldest brother on his due date, my middle brother was 4 days late and I was 3.5 weeks early being her last pregnancy. So maybe this baby is coming earlier than your last?
