How much laundry is cloth diapers?

Dh is saying no because I'm a laundry slacker. Is it a ton if laundry?

I do cloth dipes every other day. I do a load of laundry at least once a day.

I would think so unless you buy tons of diapers. My friend washes hers everyday but I think she only has about ten or so diapers.

Depends on amount of diapers you have and how many kids using them. We have over two dozen diapers right now and two kids in them. I do laundry every other day. Before our second was born I could do it every two days. Honestly I just got use to it.

This! You will find with cloth diapers, that you have your favorites. I was having issues with ammonia, only washing every 3 days, so I started doing it every other day and it has helped.

I don't have to, but I wash daily. It's not bad at all.

I don't think so. When she was smaller I washed every other day. Now I have about 50ish diapers and wash 2 times a week. (we don't go through all the diapers, I just don't like to let it get backed up). I have 6 people in my family so we always tons of laundry. Lol

Not werid to buy used. Price depends what diapers you want. Pre-folds are cheapest, but do take some time to get use to and require covers. Fitteds are next in line easier then pre-folds just snap on baby plus a cover. All-in-ones, hybrids, and all-in-twos are usually most expensive but also more convenient as there are no covers needed. Just put on baby like disposable diaper.

We started out with pre-folds with our oldest but husband hated them so we went with fitteds then one-size (one-size diapers fit from infant to potty training). We did get a handful of all-in-ones. With this baby we started right away with newborn fitteds, and will go to one-size after she doesn't fit in newborn anymore. We also have six covers, three per kid.

One has to add in cost of wetbag, and cloth diaper safe detergent too. We have two wetbags. Big one for home, small for going out. We use soap nuts for detergent, which is pretty cheap lol.

I wouldn't buy used mostly cause of hygiene. I do a load of DDs nappies most days (I put disposables on her overnight) and I don't find the extra washing an issue. They're smaller loads than mine and DHs clothes anyway

That's like saying don't buy used clothes or toys because someone else had it. Cloth diaper can be washed and even stripped using vinegar and baking soda.
