Wow. That's so crazy. You'd think with something like addiction, their body's withdraws would remind them they need another smoke.

Yeah.it was pretty crazy. She drank a lot.of coffee and ate a lot of bolgna sandwiches and ate a lot of cereal. She followed her routine to the t. We tried to give her chinese.one time and she would not eat it.

Nah not really. It could happen but it's not something that I can control. I eat well, exercise, try to be healthy. I don't want to cause it though by being unhealthy though lol

The blaming others thing started at the very beginning and just progressed and got bad. He blames everyone for everything.
Yes. All the neighbors know about his condition. Also, we made him a dog tag necklace that says he has dementia and has my uncle and moms numbers on it. It has been a life saver for sure.

Just wanted to say that you're a very selfless person and that's totally awesome.  
My grandmother passed away years ago from Alzheimer's. I was pretty young..I think about 11..when my mother decided to put her into a home. Even being that young, the vibe I got from the place when we visited her..I think she was being abused.   I think you're so strong for taking this on and I admire you for it.

Yea, well that's a pretty good mind set to have. I mean if you keep yourself healthy that's great. You'd be taking care of a lot of causes to it right there. I get worried sometimes. I read up a couple of ways to slow it down, and me and her can try it when she gets here.

Yea...I read somewhere that being in a routine is really good for them. But I can't believe she really just forgot she was a smoker. Just goes to show you how much of your brain really is in control...

Oh my gosh! That is an excellent idea. I never would have thought about that! You guys have a lot of really good ideas!

Yea, well my Grandma was doing this shortly after her brain surgery. I mean, she was just diagnosed with dementia the other day, but I wonder if she had instant dementia after brain surgery. I mean we were just thinking it was a side effect from the brain surgery....maybe she's always had dementia and it's just now being figured out?

I'm so sorry about your grandma   That would be the hardest thing to do. Be too young to really help and have to watch that, and think she wasn't safe. I kind of feel that way with her when she's on the other side of the state. I mean there's "family" there that's suppose to help her, but don't. And thank you...My Grandma is everything to me. She's spent her whole life taking care of others, so I have no problem taking care of her.
