Pink eye

My Daughter has had a cold for about a week. The other night before bed, there was pus/mucous coming out of her eye and I decided I was going to take her to the doctor in the morning but when she woke up everything was fine and she has been fine since then. The same thing happened to me last night so I just brushed it off but I woke up with a puffy eye covered in gunk. I went to the dr and they said it was pink eye but didn't have an explanation for why P's went away so fast. I'm mostly concerned about her because we co-sleep and I don't want her to get it again. The doctor didn't seem very concerned so maybe I shouldn't worry but I'm still going to worry. Is it okay to sleep in the same bed as her? Thanks in advance for your advice  

I've heard that breastmilk is good for pink eye! Natural remedy that may be worth trying...if you have some in supply.
