make myself go into labor

My doctor said to try to make myself go into labor. I am already 4 cen. dilated I have tried to walk (alot), take hot baths, eat spicy foods, and tried having sex one time. But so far nothing. She said that if I don't go by tuesday, then she gonna induce me but really not happy with induction any suggestions no how to make contractions come?

Why is she going to induce you? You can't make yourself go into labor. If your body isn't ready and baby isn't ready, then you're wasting your time. Just put your feet up and read a book or take a bubble bath. Relax.

Refuse the induction. Baby will come when he/she is ready!

You can try nipple stimulation but if baby isnt ready it won't work

Have lots of sex and walk around. But your baby will stay put if they aren't ready yet. Unless it is medically necessary I would refuse the induction.

Are you the one who posted earlier about being induced for a medical reason? I can't exactly remember what it was. But if so, I'd suggest you talk to your doctor about sweeping your membranes. It may or may not work. BUT it could give you a chance at going into labor on your own. Other things to try would be sex, walking & squats (very hard with a big belly though). Good luck!
