Elliptical Machine.. Cleaning?

So we have a Life Fitness Elliptical Machine, and I think it needs to be cleaned on the inside or oiled or something... it makes really weird noises! Does anyone know how to clean an elliptical machine correctly?? I don't have the booklet that came with it =( And their website doesn't say anything about cleaning it... HELP!  

I have an eliptical and hardly use it due to the awful squeaking it does.. When me and hubby put it together we forgot to put grease on it.. That's pretty much the problem right there except now we're too lazy to pull it apart to put grease on it properly.. It'll have to wait in the meantime when I'm really irritated with my PP weight   In the meantime IDK, try WD40'ing it to death? lol..

Lol...yeah, I was gonna suggest the WD40, too. The ones that I use at the gym squeak so bad that I have to turn my ipod up all the way or else it drives me NUTS!

Yeah I'm seriously going insane because I wanna use it (I've gained some weight over this past month.. damn weddings & graduations!LoL) and it makes squeaking noises & cracking noises.. and it's not like I weight THAT MUCH! Hahah.. it's a damn $3000 machine, I thought it would last longer I guess? I'm pretty upset about it... I'm gonna have to WD40 that bitch

heh, I used to like to use mine when the kids went down for a nap but that didn't work out so well.. It sounded like an elephant was trying to use it - LOL

Doesn't it make you feel soooo unsafe when you hear it though?? I mean.. ugh! I'm gonna have to WD40 it & wear my iPod as well while working out now =)

Whoa you spent 3stacks on it??!! I'd definately try and get in touch with the manufacturer and see what they can do for you.. That's rediculous.. For that kinda dough that thing should be whispering you sweet nothings as you sweat out to the oldies on it!  

Mine cost less than $500 so I'm kinda meh about it, haha

Well I didn't wanna spend that much on it, but my hubby is a Marine, and he was all like "it's the ones they have in the gym on base..." yadda yadda.. so we bought the damn thing.. and it WAS quiet.. I just don't know how to oil it I guess? Hahha.. It's turning out to be NOT worth the 3G's AT ALL! Very dissapointed in Life Fitness right now =(

How new is it? There's gotta be a warrenty on it somewheres.. I got mine from Sears and it had a 1yr warrenty on it.. I should have called them, they would have come out and fixed it but well see.. that's how lazy I am! lol.. But for 3k I would def hop to.. Who knows? Maybe it's a little defective and you need another..

Gosh i hope so! I think I'm gonna go call the # that's on the site right now.. Because I don't have the booklet & info that came with it! Thanks so much for the advice..
