True. I just don't think every time someone doesn't have a period is because they are pregnant. I mean I haven't had one since June and I'm most definitely not pregnant

I enjoy the wic and food stamps-especially when they ask if they can buy a certain item-complaints about WIC and how much will I get in foods stamps and will I qualify??? google it!

You can't always Google that kind of information....a lot of those women are probably looking for people that are sharing their experiences. Like, DD gets different food on her WIC than other babies, the amount you get in Food Stamps really depends...I don't see anything wrong with those threads.

Neither do I. She really looks down on SSI/SSDI, food stamps, Medicaid at least from what I've seen

SSI was an easy one for me, because AR doesn't have the state checks on top of national SSI.

I did have questions about WIC though, because DD was anemic. It was more like "They said she has to have this, what else do I need to feed her with the supplement blah blah blah."


I'm on Food Stamps and I'm not ashamed of it. I worked from the time I was 18 until I was unable to work. I don't waste it on junk. I don't really care what people have to say about it, lol, especially ladies on the internet.

Well, according to one thread I'm in right now, you should be totally ashamed and embarrassed! You also should not spend them on chips, soda or steak because there are people who work and don't qualify for food stamps! THEY have to buy their own food and if THEY can't afford steak YOU shouldn't buy it with YOUR FS! Also, you should cut everything out except your water, heat and electric to avoid being on them, because anything else is just a luxury. And if you're poor, you get NO sympathy because you're not really poor... Poor people only live in 3rd world countries. You should be greatful for what you have, even if you have nothing...
