12K a year?

6K per child? Are they close to college days or something?

No they are 4 and 4 months. But college is expensive and I would never want my children entering their adult life in debt. We fully intend on paying all their education.

I know how much college costs

Welp I'm sure they'll have enough to get 3 bachelor's degrees by the time they turn 18!

Not nessisaely. What if they go to private school? My tution for college was 42k . What if they want to go to grad school? I don't think skimping on education is worth it.

For two semesters, so one year. And I went the full four for my BA then my masters.

You have a master's degree and you're teaching high school history?

Uh yes? A masters degree isn't very special, but I make about 7000 more a year with one.

We started one for DD when she was born. I just put in what I can whenever I have spare money or if she gets money for her birthday, etc.

We worked our butts off putting SO through college and just paid off our loans while I was pregnant with DD. I haven't been able to go to school because we can't afford it and my parents never bothered to save for my education. I don't want DD to miss out on the opportunities that I did.

My grandparent's set up a trust for all of their great grandchildren for college, so DD is covered if she doesn't get a full ride.

I don't think any of my friends who teach HS or below have anything over a bachelor's degree...must be different
