People giving birth and leaving newborns in bathrooms is actually really common, all be it still extremely sad.
And kudos for ever using a Wal-mart bathroom - you have more balls than I do. Yuck.

Dumb Question: Newborn as in someone gave birth to it in there, or newborn as in born in the hospital and someone killed it?

Bc if it's the first one how would someone not hear the mom giving birth/the baby crying?

But in general I know at the WM I worked at people were in and out like ever 2 mins, if the mother was in there killing the baby someone would had to of heard! Unless she did it outside of WM and brought the baby in there and left it.

Either way it's sickening and I hope the find the person who did this!

It happens all of the time!
A couple of years ago a woman gave birth in the bathroom of our local Bi-Lo Center Stadium, which is where like bands perform, concerts, hockey games, you name it, so you know it was super busy. Luckily someone found the baby and he lived.

I wish I knew but the police arent releasing any details at the moment. I cant imagine someone giving birth in walmart without being noticed but
it wouldnt be hard to kill a baby without being noticed.
.....I feel disgusting just typing that......

This is why abortion needs to be allowed and more accessible under ANY circumstance. Smurf, allow free abortions and not make it where people can picket the damn clinic.... this smurf wouldnt happen as much.

Any time someone says "Outlaw abortion!" point them to stories like these. Seriously, abortion is a GOOD thing, because of this alone.

I don't really see the correlation with abortion. I mean, I agree with abortion too, but these women could also very easily drop their newborns off at any hospital, fire station, etc and never be punished. I think people just need to be better educated, period.

There's a stigma with it, still. People hide their pregnancies and do this smurf because they have nowhere to turn. Yes, they could just turn it over, but a LOT of people who do this have something wrong with them mentally. Abortion is expensive as smurf and it shouldn't be. If a girl could get a free abortion as opposed to having a dumpster baby... very few will still go the dumpster route. A lot of girls think they will get in trouble with leaving a child at a police station, hospital, etc... Or they think they'll get in trouble with having a drug addicted baby. Or they hurt so bad at not being able to care for the child they think killing the child is better than adoption. It may be irrational thoughts to most but for those that do it.... the main reason is fear, not knowing the resources available to them, and not having support. If we fixed that we fix the problem at hand by a mile.

But in the end... make contraception and adoption available more widely andit will cut down on this kind of crap happening.
