How accurate are ultrasounds?
posted 7th Dec
When we got our ultrasound our baby spread his legs nice and wide and everything was visible. We've been preparing since then for a boy. I was just wondering how many mom's out there had their ultrasounds turn out wrong. It was pretty clear and the tech said it was definately a boy I'm still a little worried though.

We didn't find out with our first (boy) but with our second it was correct (girl) and with this one I have no question in my mind that it is a boy! Lol he wasn't shy and I actually saw his bits and said "oh my it's a boy!" before the ultrasound tech een said anything. Lol it was so obvious.

If they said boy it most likely a boy. Its more common for them to say girl and it end up being a boy.

The ultrasounds were right with my daughter! And the level 2 said this one's a boy. we will see.
It's more common for them to say girl and baby turn out to be a boy. Girl is like the default. my cousin was told girl 3 times and she has 3 boys. And my bff was told girl and she has a boy. lol two different states.

was told boy and now its a girl lol, BUT the first ultrasound it was not clear at all, and they should have told me to relax Id know soon enough, but what happened was they saw a sack and determined it was a nut sack, in reality there was something else showing up cause girl is alllll girl now lol

They're pretty accurate. My boy was very proud to show his stuff off. SO said boy before the u/s tech could even open her mouth. And SO can't even tell what's on an u/s most of the time, lol.

Honestly I would be more worried if I was told I had a girl. That's easier to get mixed up.

Yeah, he spread his legs nice and wide and started kicking them like crazy. Lol, it was like he was saying "look at me!"

Lol, sounds like a boy to me xD

There is about 5 % chance of them being wrong. I think it's a given if they said it was boy.

This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first two were girls and I was told girls at both their ultrasounds. So those were accurate. At this one I was told it was a boy. I'm hoping it's just as accurate as the first two were!!
