New due date?

posted 7th Dec
So i had an ultrasound tuesday because the doctors said i was measuring small, fundal height.. and the ultrasound went so good! He's around 5 pounds 6 ounces already, and he's measuring to be around 36 weeks. But my due date is still January 15th. My doctors haven't changed it yet, but i go next wednesday. Has anybody else had this happen and did you have your baby earlier than your original due date?

Thannnksss (: (:

They won't change your due date this late in the game and those ultrasounds can be off by 2 lbs

When we did Steven's u/s at 32 weeks he was measuring 2 weeks ahead. We kept the same due date since by then babies all grow at different rates. I had him 4 days after his due date.

They shouldn't change it... It wouldn't be accurate. U/S aren't even 100%

What my Dr told me and is going by is my first us he said that that one is more accurate. However he is keeping a close eye on how much he starts to weigh because I can't deliver over a 7lb baby. I've never really heard of them changing your due date as that is just a guestimate and a us can also be off 2lbs.

Because where my pelvic bone opens it's not as big as most women. I hear alot of women have this problem and Dr says the baby could get stuck in the birth canal. It's more common than you think.

Women having normal vaginal births with that "problem" is probably much more common than you think too.

I've done a lot of research on vaginal births in general & actually that is very rare. Doctors of course say otherwise though. Have you attempted a vaginal birth yet?

You should really push for a healthy vaginal delivery. I really can't even tell you how many times a doctor has told a woman this exact same thing, & they turn around & are able to labour & birth perfectly fine. There is no way a doctor could know this, especially if you have never even had a baby before??

This, on top of the fact that they could tell you your baby is 7lb and you need a c section and then cut the baby out and he/she is 5 lbs.
