Anyone else's SO have terrible taste when it comes to girls

My DH has terrible taste in girls names. He wanted to name dd Payson. If we have another child I hope it's a boy!

He actually came up with some really nice ones when we were pregnant. We decided on Alyssia, which he thought of.

Lol DH thinks every name I suggest is "made up" I love Adeline he thinks it's made up...lol. He also wanted to name our first son russel. No. Haha, oh men.

All of SO's name choices came from X-men or Mortal Kombat.

Yeah, he isn't very good at names.

Russell is my last name I hate it!

My boyfriend wanted to name our daughter Gail, Helen, Michelle, or Stephanie. I believe he thought we were giving birth to an 80 year old or character on full house.

My SO was horrible with names.
He though.. Izek would be just GREAT for our son.
I told him the name is perfectly fine with me...we just have to spell it right.


I remeber, he sent me like 5 texts in a row.

He's not bad IMO, if DS was a girl he wanted to name her Mariah Denise. Now that his granny has passed away though he says if we were to ever have a girl he'd like to name her Helen, which I love, both for the name itself and because his granny was a wonderful woman.

Mine wanted to call our son Greyson so that his name could be shortened to Grey... His last name is Otter  

LOL I can relate my baby daddy loved the name Icedis or however he spelled it it sounded like Ice-dis.

DD was going to be Adeline after DH's grandmother. She's 93 so I can promise that name isn't made up lol

Luckily DH and I agree on names mostly.

My SO liked Kimberley and Charlotte. No offense to anyone with those names, but I too felt stuck in a time warp. But he also came up with her name and I love it... basically we had a system where he generated names and I vetoed lol. I gave him a lot of feedback about why I did or didn't like names he thought of and eventually he got the hang of it. Our problem was bigger for boys. I was the one wanting to name a boy after xmen or mortal kombat and he was like OH HELLS NAW and wanted classic things like Christopher.
