If you let your LO self wean from breastfeeding how old were they when they stopped?

That is what I want to happen. I really hope to be done by 18 months.

Right around his 2nd birthday.

It was more of a gentle mother-led weaning. I'm pregnant and nursing was getting to be a big strain on my body.

I wanted them to go longer, but literally...17 months and they'd absolutely refuse. I don't know if my milk changes, or what. Makes me sad.

DD self weaned when i got pregnant again. 11 1/2 months was the last time she nursed. and she stright up GAGGED on it.
