She just told me one of her friends is pregnant, for the 2nd time. Her first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, this girl is such a little slut, she is 15 yrs old, and you would have thought the first time she got pregnant that she would have taken precautions, but nope of course not.

So what the poll question is about, the guy who knocked her up, is 19, just started dating him, and DH and I just talked about this, if we were her parents, his ass would be sitting in jail right now. So if this was your 15 yr old pregnant, by some guy she just recently met, what would you do? Would you have his ass arrested or just let it go?

If you had a child young, this isn't about you, think of your own child, and what YOU would do.

My child would be on BC.

I would put his ass in jail. The first guy I was really into was 19 when I was 15 kind of creepy now that I think about it!

I would honestly address the issue head on with MY daughter rather than try to go after the guy. In the end it teaches her nothing.

Honestly, I would try my hardest to not even let my daughter get into that situation to begin with.

I don't know what I would do, but I can't help but wonder what people would do if they were in the 19 year olds' parents' shoes, kwim? (I probably wonder that more because i only have boys. lol)

Agreed. I think that most people at 15 years old, are more than capable of making the choice on who to sleep with. I don't think I'd go after him, I'd be focusing on her & her awful behavior.

Lot of factors to decide this...

If she's getting an abortion, then you're damn right I'd call the cops. I'd call the FIRST damn time she got pregnant. There would BE no second time.

However, if she decides to keep it, I'd let it be on ONE condition. He has to get a job, pay child support, take care of that child like an adult. ONE slip up, and I call the cops faster than you can hum the Reno 911 theme.

In some states it's not illegal for a 15 yr old and a 19 yr old.

And in all honesty, the girl consented to it. So sending him to jail for something they agreed on is shady.

Also that doesn't make her a slut. But maybe after the first time her parents should have talked to her and got her on BC.

Even if it were my daughter I wouldn't have the guy arrested for statutory RAPE unless it was actually a RAPE. But if my daughter consented too, he doesn't deserve the world of problems that come with that.

To me it doesn't matter if she is a slut or not. Her parents should be in better control of her and be a supporting role to prevent this crap AND, that 19yr old would have his ass in jail!

To me it depends on if he knew how old she was, like did she lie to him about her age or not. I would be feeding my daughter bc myself if she had a miscarriage already at 15 though.

I wouldn't consider that being a hypocrite. I never have. I had the same discussion with a friend of mine. You're not a hypocrite because you make them do something despite what you did in your past. That just means you have learned and want better for them.
