Yeah, then as long as he helps out, I'm golden. And by helps out, I mean financially, emotionally, and physically. He wants to make the cookie while she bakes it, then he needs to have a part of the cookie in the end too. As long as he provides for the child, I'm ok. You can't pay child support or provide for a child from jail.

I will stress to my child not to become dependent on him though. He could leave her, and she'd have to be able to provide the majority alone. She'd have to be prepared for that fact. And if she decides to amscray and leave me with a new infant, then I'll pull a Barbara Evans on her and get custody of that child myself. I've seen it done many times.

Yes you can. If your child is out of control and behaving in a manner of risk, you most certainly can reign that in. I am not afraid to do that to my kids. If they are engaging in risky behaviors you bet I will be up their ass 24/7 until the behavior ceases. Obviously, I know that locking them to a bed is not going to change anything but I certainly will NOT turn a blind eye.

I'm saying he can't pay child support while in jail. So if he wants to provide for the child, he stays out of jail.

Honestly, it would depend on how much of a raging prick he is about the whole situation as to whether or not I'd call the police. If he's not a jerk about it, then I may let the whole thing go, but if it happens again... yeah. No.

I'd rather her have an abortion btw. But if she decided to keep it, he has the option to pay for smurf financially if he wants to stay out from behind bars. If he's not going to help with the accident he helped cause, you're damn right I'll MAKE him have consequences.

I had to read that a few times. I was a little caught off by it.

I don't know if I'd have him locked up or not. On one hand- he should be a sophomore in college, and what kind of gross perv that age smurfs a what, 9th grader? Ick. On the other hand- he'd be labeled as a sex offender for life and maybe that's a bit severe, even though to me the age difference is inappropriate.


Damn. She'd be under close watch forever, for sure.

But you can't be there 24/7! And you have to be teaching them to be an adult. Being up their ass isn't helping with the bigger picture.
