Its very common. And its not always because of parents either. I was teased a LOT all through school, and starting having sex @ 15 because i so desperately wanted to feel loved. I was a total slut.

i didnt have the greatest parents. when they broke up they just didnt care anymore so thanks for making me feel like smurf   really helps the self esteem

Let me tell you something little one, my mother was physically, mentally and emotionally abusive. My father traveled alot with his job and because he is an inspector on neculear power plants, he could be gone a few months at a time. My father never believed my sisters and I when we would try to tell him what was going on. While he was home, my mother was on her best behavior. As soon as he was gone down the road, it all started up again. I am in my 30's and I still deal with my mothers mind games. I didn't have a child in high school. I graduated and went to college. I was established in my career before I was married and then married a few years before I had children. DON'T tell me that this is all because of your parents. You are old enough and smart enough to make proper decisions. You aren't a 13, 14 yr old child who is trying to find their way and doing things to try and ease the pain from whatever surrounding.
