That's whatthey said about me. Crazy thing is, some women can dilate past 10. You're supposed to wait until you feel the urge to push. I never did. Could be because my body wanted to dilate further or the epi or both.

My labor was a train wreck but next time will be different.

I did have the urge and i can have an epi so i was over it at that point with my son i was over it way before i had him.

Wow I can't believe how many people pushed for so little time :O I pushed for two and a half hours. They were just about to intervene with forceps when I shouted NO! And did one last giant push, then out popped her head

I'm sure. I'm just pointing out that ten isn't then end for everyone. If you had the urge then it was time for you. It wasn't for me though. They were just impatient.

I tried so hard to avoid the use of the vacuum. But even with the vacuum it took three or four doctors pulling to get her out. I tore very badly in the process. My son was like 10 minutes or something crazy.

10 minutes?! Wow, was he the second baby? I didn't tear at all, I am so lucky lol. Although I did get left with a cyst that I have to have removed next week

Yea, my stitches were insane...I was a jigsaw puzzle after having my daughter.

#1 - 3 1/2 - 4 hours. Came out by vacuum
#2 - less than 5 minutes, she came right out

it shouldn't be.

women should only push when they feel like pushing. if done beforehand it can take ages or end w/ medical intervention.
