re: back to back miscarriages?

i cant imagine 7, i told SO that we would try agian in 6 months, give my body and mind some healing time but if we miscarry again after that, i'm not sure we will keep trying. we might wait a little longer, it's hard on my mind. i get depression really easy, so i'm not trying to rush it.

I did the same for this pregnancy. I had been TTC for over a year (with one loss) and so one cycle I used progesterone cream (I had already been taking prenatal, vit B6 and baby aspirin) so in my case it had to have been the cream. Then I started taking 200 mg pills.

Have they run a blood panel on you? My cousins wife has blood disorders as well. Her's are different than mine but, they were causing her to have m/c's and sadly still births. After she went to a different Doc, they did a panel on her. Figured out what the problem was and she ended up on blood thinners during her pregnancy. They now have a beautiful 4month old baby girl. Always a rainbow at the end of a storm

no, no blood panels yet, but it's still early, i'm still bleeding from this miscarriage, i have my last appointment with my midwife tomorrow and she will be referring me to a high risk ob, since the midwives here are considering me high risk with 4 pregnancies and only one live birth.

They did an RPL after my second m/c and the only thing that came up was insulin resistance. My RE said at the time that he believed that's what caused the losses but then I went on to have another m/c. It was after reading that many blood clotting disorders and immune issues often don't show up in the bloodwork or only in pregnancy that I took it upon myself to continue the baby aspirin and I'm 14 weeks and still going!

do you think its possible to show signs of blood clotting disorders or anything like that?

I don't think so. As far as I know the only way to know is via blood test. Discuss the baby aspirin with your doctor and progesterone creme can be purchased in Walgreens or on Amazon. Like I said, two of my doctors told me it could only help.

Those will show in a blood panel. I have heriditary Spherocytosis. That also showed in a panel. most all blood disorders are detectable thru the basic panel. Pregnant or not they can find just about anything.

My twins were baby asprin babies too! lol It really works wonders! Well, that and a few beers. lol

i'm definitely going to bring up baby aspirin!

For me:

Blood tests (full work up of immunity, vitamin deficiency, hormone checks, metabolic panel, thyroid, blood clotting, etc)---normal

Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) where they injected dye into uterus to see if I had abnormality/fibroids/tumors---normal

MRI of abdomen---normal

Various ultrasounds---normal






WHAT IS WORKING SO FAR (15 weeks):
100mg/progesterone 2x per day vaginally
81mg baby aspirin
Extra B6/B12
Extra Folic Acid
Extra zinc
Prenatal

Haha, man ordinarily I love beer but this baby doesn't want me to enjoy anything!

I do all that as well, minus the progesterone which I stopped at 10 weeks and zinc.

so everything came back normal, but they are putting you on all of that for just in case right? sounds like so much work, but so worth it in the end!
