I was typing it on my phone that why I abbreviated everything. Text was small and I was losing screen space. Sheesh so butt hurt just because I don't like a name you picked out. QQ.

I put this name on Facebook and asked if people liked it. I also asked friends and family and they all started laughing hysterically and said that was a terrible name. I have yet to find one person that thinks that is a pretty name. Hey it's your kid not mine. If you want to your kid to possibly be laughed at and have everyone mispronounce her name go for it. That's all you. You did ask for opinions in this post and you got them. Stop crying and getting all mad when you hear negative ones because you will get them wherever you go, on any subject. You clearly must be like 15.

I think it sounds like a great name, but after looking into it a little more I'm no longer a fan. I'm big into the actual meanings of names and Persephone basically means 'the bringer of death' or 'the destroyer'. Persephone was the wife of Hades and the queen of hell. A very common subject in a bunch of western art (especially sculptor) is the 'rape of Persephone' (based on the myth of Hades kidnapping her and forcing her into the underworld). She's got some major darkness going on with her.

That's your excuse? I'm always on my phone when I type anything on here, and I don't spell crap out like a 15 year old would. You're right, you're entitled to your opinion but your spelling was atrocious so I'm not taking it into consideration. I'm not getting hurt by you not liking the name. You've replied to this thread 4 times with new excuses. The woman gets it-- you don't like the name. Move on, now.

Plus, many beautiful names have negative connotations to them, or negative myths or stories associated with them.

She's not the bringer of death, she was the daughter of Demeter and was kidnapped by Hades and brought a deal was made and she was force to live with him for 6mo out of the year. Yes I'd does sort of creep me out thinking it means "queen of the underworld" but then again I don't really believe in Greek mythology. I like the stories and think they're interesting but nothing more than that. Still I like the name and how it sounds, not so much the meaning.

Well here I will spell it correctly so you can understand me since you clearly cannot understand abbreviations. (Also please keep in mind they were not spelling errors, but simple abbreviations) THE NAME SUCKS.

&& I posted it on facebook and asked other opinions actually about 3 months ago so it had nothing to do with your post, b/c I saw someone else post about this name and had no idea how to pronounce it. Had nothing to do with you.

Damn. Actually I only replied twice, and the first time I stated I really liked the name, thought it sounded great. I posted a second time after I did a bit more looking into it because I was particularly interested in this name, and the research changed my personal opinion about it.
