I've made up my mind, I just want to know if other people would do the same in my position I guess.

She was a micro-preemie and has always had issues since the nicu with eating. She has a feeding clinic appt coming up but it takes forever to get in. I think it's overwhelming because she used to cough and choke when she was small and she used to have feeding tubes which I guess can cause issues for the rest of their lives.

Funny thing is, I'm not a helicopter parents about anything else really. It's only this and I think it's because she has choked and ended up really sick.

Also they try to push me to leave her with them all day and tell me to go have fun, but having had her in the NICU for almost 3 months when she was born makes it difficult for me to leave for long periods of time. It's something I'm working on, but those emotions will always be there.

I completely understand. I was anal. Super anal. And honestly I didnt give smurf who had a problem with it. My son could have died, when you are faced with that...nothing else matters, and we are women, mama bear is a very strong character.

But I will tell you this. We are 20 months off treatment and cancer free and Im not nearly as anal in the last 6 months as I was for the 2.5 years before lol. I have eased up on alot. As far as spending time away from him I did sign him up to 2.5 hours of daycare to help with his delays due to living in a hospital envirnoment for so long, but besides that I dont want to go out, I want to be with him.
I get where you are coming from mama. Just remember to keep your head straight so you dont get lost in the depression of it all k? Shes here, she flourishing, shes growing and doing great, remember to focus on that.

They think I'm being irrational but I feel like they don't understand that the decisions I'm making are based on the incidents that have already happened. The fears are not unfounded. They are over a decade older than me, so I think they think they know better. They are TTC, so hopefully they will see that it doesn't matter what situation you are in, you will always try to make the best decisions. I hope soon, because it's starting to become very irritating how often they pester me.

You are being irrational though, so let them have that one. Just say to them, 'I know Im being irrational, but Im not doing anything Im uncomfortable with when it comes to my daughter"
