being induced next week

I posted in pregnancy forums then realised it may be more appropriate here I'm being induced next week as I have gestational diabetes am a little apprehensive as my frist was natural just want to know what peoples experiences were when it came to being induced

I had an amazing experience! I would definitely do it all over again!

i had the epi...no pain lol. i did end with a c section though

I didn't have GD but I was induced. It was a long process,getting the epi was great.

I've had 3 inductions and all went well. Best of luck to you.

it was long. my cervix wasnt ready so i had 3 twelve hour doses of cervidil..took me 3 and a half days to be ready for pitocin..and once that was hooked up my contractions were immediately 2 minutes apart and never let up. Pitocin makes is an already painful situation even moreso

I was induced because of gd. It actually was ok. However at like 20 hours of hard labor I caved and got an epi. I had a foley bulb instead of cytotec or cervadil I would recommend it because its not a drug. They tested my blood sugar once after delivery. They checked my baby's every 2 hours for 12 hours.

cytotec is a huge no no..theres a website somewhere about how cytotec was the cause of death in a newborn...

Exactly why I got the foley bulb which has no drugs to dilate my cervix. The other options at my hospital where cytotec or cervadil. I did my research and decided the less drugs I got the better. In no way was I recommending cytotec I was recommending the foley bulb.

last pregnancy i had GD and i was induced for pre-eclampsia.
this pregnancy i dont have GD and so far no pre-eclampsia
being induced wasnt at all bad for me.
