It is most likely due to teething.

However, you could stop solids. They dont need them until they are 1 year anyway. Also, rice cereal is better for the digestive system if it does turn out to be the oatmeal.

That's what I'm thinking too, but every other time his teeth were acting up and he had gotten a rash, he had awful diarrhea with it....now, he's just got the rash.

Yes. They swallow excess spit which causes looser stools and can lead to a rash.

You aren't starving him, he doesn't even need food until 1 year. Don't worry about it!
