Just passed away yesterday, we really do not talk with BD's side of the family, but I called to pay my respects anyways... ( no one answered my calls ) oh well, then.

But, the weird thing is...they have a picture of her on instagram& fb of her laying in her hospital bed...(dead).
I was so beyond shocked.

im sorry but that is creepy, even creeps the hell out of me when people take pictures of dead people in coffins before they put them in the ground. i cant even handle touching a dead person thats in a coffin. I would with dead people every day as a paramedic and it doesnt bother me at all, but the fact of having this cold dead life less body in a coffin days after they died creeps the hell out of me. ironic considering i touch dead bodys every day. but blah lol have shivers just thinking about coffin people.

People do it with babies, so I don't really find it shocking. Sorry about your loss.

Eh, not that strange to me anymore. I probably wouldn't post it on Instagram, but I have no problem that they took a picture of her after she was dead.

That's exactly what came to mind when I read this. My daughter died during labor, so those are the only pictures I have of her. I don't post them often, though. Only on BG.

I think that is a little diffent. Imo. And not as creepy.

Eh, not to some people. I've had people cringe when I tell them I had pictures taken of her. Most people think it's morbid.

personally the way i look at it, may be stupid but whatever ill say it, babies are born pure and tiny. They passed away with no harm, so personally a passed away babies just looks like adorable sleeping baby. I had this one house call last week, 2 month old baby passed away of |SIDS, when we arrived on sense he just looked so peace full sleeping away. It hurt so much having to tell that mother that there was nothing i could do to bring him back. But with that being said having a adult passed away they normally died of horrible things, and are sick and there for look not like them self not normal when they are passed away they look cold stiff, empty, and creepy lol. ( Yes i have a thing against it lol ) ( guys at work will try and drag me down stairs to the morgue just to creep the hell out of me)

Honestly I had something similar happen when my grandmother pass right before Christmas. My moms cousin posted pictures of my grandmother laying in the hospital on her death bed(not dead yet)
It pissed the entire family off. That is personal.

personally i wouldnt even want pictures of smurf like that!!! personally i would want to remember my family members as healthy happy people that they are, not go threw photos one day and come across a picture that shows how much pain ans suffering grandma did before she passed away, i would wanna come across a happy beautiful picture of her smiling and remember all the good times we had

The only difference is, that an older person has lived their life. Other then that, I see no difference, and I have no issues looking at pictures of both babies and adults (and in between, and over) who have passed away. I wouldn't do it, but I also wouldn't take pictures of my baby who died, either.

I'm sorry for your loss.

The pictures wouldn't bother me but to put them on a website, it may offend people or family members who wish that sort of thing to remain private.
