You just loosen the straps and then tighten them to be secure? I am so glad it doesn't get super cold here!

I dislike school busses. When I was in elementary and middle school, I remember having the same bus driver for a few years. He was so old by the time he retired, he got in so many accidents. I won't let my kids ride the bus. No way!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just remember kids bouncing all over the place and I've heard a few people say they got molested on the bus.

No, It wouldnt be like a fluffy jacket or a snowsuit.

Yes every parent that I know will buckle their children in with their jackets on. Too cold to not keep them in their jackets. I don't want to risk pneumonia, bronchitis or any other illness as well.
Oh yes to also clarify this more for you guys I worked in a day care and transported children to and from activities and so on. Never once in our policies or recommendations by the government was it a requirement for us to undress the child to harness the child into the car seat. So for anyone that thinks that it is against the law it isn't. If it was a frequent more occurring thing that the child is thrown from the vehicle due to wearing a jacket then maybe it would be law and everyone would know that you need to do that for safety.

Same here!
The family I was just talking about, they always wore their jackets in the car. That's why I'm still kind of iffy on the whole jacket in the car seat issue. Especially being from NH. Every child I saw was always in a jacket, in their seat. It's to hot here for DD to wear one.
Like today, it's about 80. No jacket needed!
I think it's fine, but then again I don't. I've read mixed things about it. If it's cold enough, I say yes wear it. If its not too cold, then take it off. Or warm your car up first, maybe?

LoL. I don't care if you don't "believe me."

And that is all hunky dory for them. However, I don't want to risk my kid being ejected from the car, so I would not do that.

the same way you would when you go to put them in and realize they got fatter. Just adjust and tighten.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought it were illegal, just not the safest.
I learned recently that it isn't illegal to put a baby/kid in the front seat either; not safe, but not illegal.

I've heard recent harassment on the bus stories. Like people taunting other kids, verbally being abusive. That's not for me. I'll be the mommy who drops off and picks up her children!

Yes I have my daughter in there so tight is hard for me to buckle her up. But I know she isn't moving.
